Basics: Email Automations

Would you like to communicate with all your new subscribers or leads from lead campaigns,? Create an Automation! ⚠️ Please note Automations only work with website subscribers or lead campaigns and not with first time ticket buyers.

So the first thing you need is a Campaign Template, so start by creating a Template. Go to the Tools menu, then Campaign Setup >  New Campaign Template.  Then create an automation  in the Automations dashboard. It can be found in the Tools section.

Click on Create Automation.

  1. Give your automation a name. This is for internal purposes only
  2. Select Enable to activate your automation or deselect to stop it
  3. Select if this is for new subscribers or for unsubscribes. These are currently the only two automations available.
  4. Click on the topics you want to send this automation. You can also send to your full list if you prefer
  5. Choose the template you'd like to send.
  6. Select Delay if you don't want recipients receiving the email as soon as they sign up or unsubscribe.

And it's done! Automations are running as soon as you hit the Save button!

As soon as it starts sending you'll be able to check the Automation reports on the same dashboard.

With this feature, you can automate your welcome and goodbye emails. We chose this particular automation as the first one for several reasons:

    1. User Engagement
If you could only choose one automation for the rest of your life, make it a welcome email.

Welcome emails have a 42% higher read rate than other marketing emails. Creating a well-constructed welcome email can make a great first impression. You can even try to get a future higher revenue by including a unique welcome coupon! 🤑

    2. Time Savers
Saving time is a priority for businesses, big and small.

Automating welcome emails to be sent out to new subscribers is a great way to increase efficiency. Taking the time to check that your automated emails are up-to-date, even if it's just every few months, is much more manageable than creating an email for each new subscriber. ⏰

    3. Data Collection
Take advantage of this automation to acquire information about your subscribers.

Think about asking how they found out about your company or if there are certain emails Topics they would want to get from you.  The more you know about your customer, the more you can personalize your content! 👩‍💻
