Campaigns: Tessitura Integration
What Is the Tessitura Step?
If your organization uses Tessitura as your CRM and ticketing system, Encore Pro can write campaign details back to Tessitura when you send an email campaign. This keeps your Tessitura records in sync with your Encore Pro marketing activity, so your team has a complete picture of customer communications in both systems.
When the Tessitura integration is enabled for your account, an additional Tessitura tab appears in the email campaign creation workflow, between the Message and Design steps.
When Does the Tessitura Tab Appear?
The Tessitura tab only appears if your Encore Pro account is connected to a Tessitura instance. If you do not see the Tessitura tab in your campaign creation flow, your account is not currently integrated with Tessitura. Contact your Account Manager if you would like to set up this integration.
For accounts without Tessitura, the email campaign creation flow remains three steps: Audience, Message, and Design.
Configuring Tessitura Writebacks
The Tessitura tab contains three fields that control how your campaign is recorded in Tessitura:
- Appeal: Select the Tessitura appeal code to associate with this campaign. This is a required field. Appeals are used in Tessitura to categorize and track the purpose of outreach activities.
- Source Group: Select the Tessitura source group for this campaign. This is a required field. Source groups help categorize where activity originates.
- Media type: Select the media type for this campaign. This defaults to "7: E-mail" for email campaigns. This field tells Tessitura which communication channel was used.
All three fields are dropdown menus populated with values from your connected Tessitura instance. The options you see will reflect your organization's specific Tessitura configuration.
How Writebacks Work
When you send an email campaign with the Tessitura fields configured, Encore Pro writes the campaign details back to your Tessitura database. This creates a record in Tessitura linking the campaign to the selected appeal, source group, and media type. Your Tessitura users can then see this marketing activity alongside other constituent interactions.
Future Integration Expansion
The Tessitura integration is the first of several planned CRM writeback integrations. Support for additional ticketing and CRM systems will be added in future updates. The writeback concept will work similarly across systems: a dedicated step in the campaign creation flow where you map Encore Pro campaign data to your external system's fields.
Tips
- Configure the Tessitura fields before you reach the Design step. The appeal and source group are required, so you will need to set them before you can proceed.
- Coordinate with your Tessitura administrator to ensure the correct appeal codes and source groups are available for your campaigns.
- Use consistent appeal and source group selections for similar campaign types so your Tessitura reporting remains organized.
