This explains how to change the sender name your customers see, when they receive a text from you.
Customers want to trust that the text they are receiving is from a legitimate source. We recommend changing the sender name on your text messaging so instead of it saying “crowdEngage”, it will have the name of your venue or recognisable brand.
This means when your customer receives a text, they can be more comfortable that it has come from a trustworthy company before they click the mobile ticketing link. It is also helpful for this purpose that your message has some unique information within it, such as the customers name or performance start date.
We need to register your chosen sender name with our messaging provider, so we need to know this in advance of you sending out your first message.
The sender name can be up to 11 characters long. So, if your theatre was called something like “The Empire Theatre, Edinburgh” your text name could be “The Empire”
Once you have decided on this, send us an email to support@crowdengage.com and we'll do the rest.
When it's all up and running we'll let you know and you can run some tests.
