On Activity Stream, there are two predefined roles: User (access to all minus admin) and Manager (access to all). By default, a new user has the role of User. You can assign more than one role to a user. When multiple roles are assigned, the user or user group receives all the permissions defined for all the roles.
In order to create user roles, please let us know the rules and we'll create it for you.
