A UTM is an addition to a URL that returns detailed information about which of your links are being clicked and where. These tags are URL trackers of where traffic is coming from based on parameters. By using UTM tagging in your campaigns, you can easily identify how specific campaigns, ads, or channels are performing through your Google Analytics data, which we can connect to and display through an Activity Stream integration.
Here is an example:
https://www.activitystream.com?utm_campaign=spring+deal+2022&utm_source=fb-event& utm_medium=social
We know...they are not pretty – but we promise they are functional! Also, you can always use QR codes or URL shortening tools, like bitly, or QR codes to share these links. Most of the time, they’ll be linked through an image or hyperlinked text, so your users will only see the UTM codes on their URL bar.
