- CAMPAIGN: utm_campaign identifies the specific campaign. This is the unique identifier for a campaign.
- SOURCE: utm_source identifies the source of your traffic. Some examples are Facebook, Instagram, websites, search engines and newsletters.
- MEDIUM: utm_medium identifies the medium that the link was shared. Some examples are email newsletter, banner and cost per click (CPC).
- TERM: utm_term identifies what keyword generated the clicks. You should use this if you are trying out different language in different campaigns.
- CONTENT: utm_content identifies the specific content in the campaign. If you have multiple links in the same campaign, like two links in the same email, you can fill in this value so you can tell them apart. This is very granular and optional, and for most marketers this is more detailed than necessary.
