We will not focus on the basic functions of how to build your email, but rather on what differentiates us from for example Mailchimp or Force24.
Time to design your email 💌
Like many other email builders, ours is based on drag-and-drop functionality, where you add the relevant sections into your email and design it from there.
If you want to change the number of columns in your table, you can simply drag in the Columns block and select the exact number of columns.

About Preheader Text
A preheader is the short summary text that follows the subject line when viewing an email from the inbox.
You can find it under Body (left side) > Preheader Text
About Image
You have the option to choose to upload your own image(s), or to select it from our database.
Drag and drop the image where you want to have it in your email, and then click on it.
Type in the name of the place or the occasion you are after and it will find images in the stock image databases. This can be easily used for your Christmas greetings for example.

Mobile Version
In Activity Stream you have also the option to hide elements (image, button, text) from mobile or desktop.
This option helps you build an email that will fit any device.
When you send yourself test emails, make sure to open them with both your computer and your mobile, for checking if the design fits.
If you need to hide something on mobile devices:
1. Click on the element you want to bury
2. Then you click on the Mobile option at the top
3. Scroll down and activate the option Hide on mobile

If for design reasons you need to move an element around you can hide it on mobile, duplicate it, change its position and hide the new one on the desktop.
This could appear a bit crowded on the design page, but this will allow you to have the right layout for both devices.
The following is an example:

You can also create different settings for desktop and mobile versions.
With Activity Stream you are able to create different parameters for:
- Text color
- Text alignment
- Line height
- Container padding
In short, you can create very different designs based on the device your clients use to visualize the email campaigns.
