What are Customer Tags?
In order to help you better classify your customers, we have created tags that can help you identify opportunities and segments. We use tags for different categories like functionality, ratings, behavior, seasonality, value uplift, preferences, product variances, and marketing receptiveness.
Each tag is associated with a customer when a certain criterion is met, and they are updated every day based on the transactions that happened.
Our data is derived from an algorithm that analyzes purchases, customer records, partner databases, and also data from external databases, such as a gender categorization we set based on a customer's first name.
Where to find the Customer Tags?
You can find them in Customer Overview and they look like this:
So many tags 😵💫... Yes, there are many of them so you can go as granular and detailed as possible. And we're not that mean, we don't expect that you know them by heart.
You can find the meaning of each one of them like this:
1. Click on the Need Help button on the bottom right corner
2. Search by Customer Tags
3. Click on the first result

It might confirm our suspicions or it might show us something different. Maybe you click on your first time buyers and discover they all buy within 2 weeks of when the show starts.
