How to use the Criteria Builder

This is how to determine which messages are sent to which customers. This can be used to target specific customers or exclude certain groups.

The criteria builder is now active in many different areas of the crowdEngage dashboard. It can be used to change who sees a particular messaging whether it is a text, an FAQ or a even a specific menu.

The example below explains how to send a flow step to a particular group of customers.

This template appears at the top of the page when creating a flow step.

 

This will default to “all customers” automatically but can be changed by clicking the edit button.

Once the button is clicked it will then present a list of common criteria to choose from. This could be to target a customer depending on their ticket type or if they are sitting in a particular area of the venue.

Once the criteria has been selected, it can then be filtered down further to choose exactly the customers that should be targeted.

 

Example 1): You want to only send the message to those sitting in the stalls

 

Example 2): You want to send your message to everyone except those with student tickets

Please note when you fill in the box, it should match exactly the name of the attribute within your ticketing system, so that the correct information is pulled. Please double check there are no trailing spaces or typing errors on your ticketing system!

Once the criteria is selected and the flow has been saved, this criteria will automatically be added when sending for each individual performance. It can be amended as needed.

Criteria can also be changed within menus to show them to customers sitting in particular areas or even FAQs so that they only display for certain events or in certain venues. The possibilities are vast, so get in touch if you want to chat through your particular needs.
